Bonsai maintenance
	Exposure	Elm bonsai can be kept as both an outdoor bonsai and a cold house bonsai. Elm species are hardy outdoor bonsai. In the warmer months it should be placed in a shady position while in winter prolonged frosts should be avoided.
	Watering	Watering is the most complex part to manage, both the excess and the lack of water are in fact the most frequent causes of a failed cultivation. Water a lot outdoors in the summer and keep moderately moist in the winter to keep the soil from drying out.
